My One True Love: Food

  Food is our common ground, a universal experience - James Beard   Hello my lovely readers, welcome to my love story. I must tell you it's not like your usual love stories, but I am sure that you have already heard this line so many times that you already have guessed how the story is going to unfold. But trust me, this is not a boy meets a girl story, instead, this is a story of a girl finding happiness in the most basic requirement, i.e., FOOD. Food and human love is not so different to me. They both look so simple, sound pleasant but they are so complicated in reality that one step wrong and you are out of the game, and they both require lots of effort and understanding.   “You may choose to look the other way but you can never say that you did not know”   Sex Trafficking can sound like a crime which is not a part of this world, because how can humanity betrays someone like that. A lot of us ordinary people might have heard a case or two but we never came across to a situation in reality and thus we live in denial that such a barbaric activity is happening among us and is done by some monsters who still have the nerve to call themselves humans. When I first came across the idea of writing about this topic, I was clueless, not academically because we all have at some point of time heard about it, but rather emotionally. I admit that no amount of research or factual knowledge can help me feel the pain of the victims. However, I still read a bunch of blogs and articles and I was speechless of the figures that I came across to.
